An Estate Where Time is Savored

Family Tradition and Refinement

Château La Galiane takes its name from the English general Galian, who led his troops during the occupation of Aquitaine in the 15th century. A family property for five generations, the 5.71-hectare vineyard, with an average vine age of 55 years, is distributed among the premier crus of the appellation. It is planted with the finest Médoc grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot, on gravelly and sandy-gravel soils, giving its wines unique richness and complexity.

The wines of Château La Galiane are distinguished by a beautiful ruby color, a delicate bouquet, and a fruity, harmonious, and elegant palate. They have excellent aging potential and pair wonderfully with white or red meats, as well as certain cheeses. Each bottle reflects the care devoted to the estate and the authenticity of the Médoc terroir.

Château La Galiane offers a selection of vintages that reflect the full character and elegance of Médoc. Each year produces wines with a deep ruby color, complex aromas of ripe red fruits, spices, and delicate oak notes. On the palate, the balance between power and finesse is expressed through silky tannins and vibrant freshness, allowing these cuvées to be enjoyed today or after several years of aging.

Sourced from plots on gravelly and sandy-gravelly slopes facing south and southwest, the wines derive their finesse from an exceptional terroir. The vines, around 55 years old, and the typical grape varieties—Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot—give each vintage a unique personality, full of authenticity and depth.
